Im as guilty as the next man for getting caught up in the transfer merry-go-round in the media but you have to wonder, hasnt it been quiet lately? Before van Gaal joined up with the club we were linked with every Tom, Dick, Harry and Arturo...but it has all gone very quiet since the World Cup. Even the half reliable hacks who usually have their snouts in the United trough like Mitten, Ogden, Ducker, Ladyman and Jackson have reported absolutely nothing of any substance. Really hoping that our new manager doesnt suffer fools gladly and is playing a cracking game because even though the tour has gone better than anyone could have hoped, youd have to be a fool to think we are sorted for a title challenge. And that is what our football club demands, we might have come seventh last year but we should be challenging for the title this year. At least weve been spared the toe curling pursuit of Cesc Fabregas last summer with Moyes being embarrassingly open in our intentions. Thankfully weve now got a big club manager running the ship.
