Im glad for this 4 part reading plan. In 2 King 6, Elisha is surrounded by warriors and asks the Lord to show his servant their divine strength, chariots of fire. After the warriors are captured, Elisha says: Set bread and water before them, that they may eat and drink and go to their master (2 Ki 6:22). I know Jesus did not come to abolish the law but to fulfill it, but occasionally the phrase thats so Old T comes to mind. 2 Kings 6 shows the compassion of Jesus from a prophet of God and a King of Israel. Zechariah says, From Judah will come the cornerstone, from him the tent peg, from him the battle bow, from him every ruler (Ze 10:4). Praise God for the Old T, the battleground which gives us life in the New T: People who believe in God’s Son are not judged guilty (John 3:18). I believe Jesus is the Son of God, the Light of the World. This morning Im also believing on Psalm 96: Light is sown like seed for the righteous and gladness for the upright in heart. Be glad in the Lord, you righteous ones, and give thanks to His holy name (Ps 96:11-12). esv.org/assets/pdfs/rp.lsb.pdf
