Im going to jump right in here because were running out of time. One of my best suggestions to those of you with middle school kids is to use 8th grade - and even 7th - as practice for high school. Begin keeping a practice transcript. This is especially helpful if you, like us, dont really keep grades in the elementary years. Also, as Megan mentioned, begin noticing your childs interests and considering how those interests might come into play in high school.
