Im hearing Christian friends say they will be boycotting the movie Unbroken because it fails to tell the entire story. The movie ends upon Louis return after World War II, not delving into his miraculous conversion and healing from PTSD. I plan to see the movie and encourage others to go. I also intend to share the ending – the true ending – with others. I read the book when it first came out because my father was a prisoner in the same Japanese camp. I couldnt put it down. What an amazing story he had to tell, and the book reflected that. Anyone who sees the movie will be captured by the drama and will, hopefully, be led to explore the story in more depth. Readers will buy the book, now out in paperback. Others may see the Billy Graham DVD. Christian friends, dont miss this chance to point people to the only One who heals all our broken places. Louis is no doubt smiling from heaven at the way his storys being used.
