Im leaving all these conversations up, for anyone still wondering why Im doubtful, fearful actually, of anyone who has ever called themselves an ally to disabled people. Theyll abandon us the first time it becomes in any way confusing or alienating for them; the first time they are forced to concede or learn anything that offends their comfortable worldview. Anyone still interested, you are welcome. But this shit is more complex than most people are prepared to admit, as demonstrated here on Facebook time and time again. And once again, the arguments Ive had tonight will be left as my own fault in the minds of most abled people reading anything Ive said.
