Im not the healthiest person, I screw up all the time, old habits - TopicsExpress

Im not the healthiest person, I screw up all the time, old habits are hard to break. But I make a constant effort to better myself. With that being said.....Years ago age28 I had a breast reduction because I I kept tearing muscles in my lower back, and developed scoliosis, and mild arthritis. I was told if I didnt have the surgery and made an effort to change I would be in a wheel chair at the age of 30. Had the surgery, and put myself on a diet.Yeah I got better and lost weight. Only to gain it right back little by little. By age 33 I kinda gave up, I was tired of the yo-yo dieting. I gave up. I gave up only to have more issues arise. Past 2-3 years suffered from extremely high blood pressure, to the extreme blood sugar drop. Diagnosed with positional vertigo to this past April almost not being able to walk, because I was at my highest weight ever....296lbs at 53 correction 52, I shrunk and I owe that all up to losing all cartilage in each of my knee. Yes Im 36 yrs old with no cartilage in either knee. April I was told again if you dont make a change you will be in a wheelchair for the rest of your life! So I got cortisol shots in each knee to help ease my pain, and made a conscious decision not to give up on myself. No matter how many times I fall, Ill get back up. Last I checked Ive lost 66lbs,and that was 3 months ago, I was due for shots in July. Didnt get them and dont need them,Im feeling so much better. Im still not at my best but Im getting closer as the days go by. I wasnt able to walk a block without stopping months ago, and was literally taking me forever just to roll over to get out of bed. Now Im walking...hey I can even run. Im just letting everyone know this because Ive learned the importance of eating healthy and exercising. Its not about dieting. You have to eat to nourish your body, but you also have to exercise to strengthen your muscles. We have to make the right choices to live long healthy lives. Its never to late to make a change until the day you pass away. Oh and its not just big ppl that are unhealthy.....you skinnies can be unhealthy also. I have skinny/slim friends who are unhealthy also....heart problems, back problems, high blood pressure, diabetes, liver etc....dont give up on yourselves. If you have a issue, Im not saying you can cure it, but you can make it better and not worse by not giving up on you, and making the right choices. If you drinking excessively and smoking excessively and eating junk food and fast food all the time,do you really think there are no repercussions? I dont know about you all, but I want to live a long life, where Im able to be active and enjoy life with friends and family.Im Its never to late!
