Im sure most of you wont care so much, but I still wanted to share with the ones thatll read this... Phoebe had more complications during surgery than the vet expected. Significant amounts of tissue were removed from her bladder to be biopsied. As far as he could see via xray and the naked eye, all bladder stones were removed. He couldnt get a catheter inserted in her to pee, and that bothered him. He called a specialty doc and discussed a plan of action. The next 72 hours will be vital for Pheebs optimal bladder function. Theyll monitor her very close and continue to do labs, medications, xrays etc. This is the best vet I have ever come across. Im very worried, but I know shes in the best care. With all the anxiety building up in me, my fainting spell, and me feeling completely sick today, I mustered enough energy to go visit her right at 4:30. (The vet told me I could visit any time past 4:30, so naturally, I was there st 4:31) I havent really responded to anyone lately bc Ive been consumed with Pheebs and my own health, so please forgive me for that. As for now, Im hoping shes improved enough to come home tomorrow. Shes got to be able to pee on her own... Come on, Pheebs, you can do it!!! :)
