Im writing to you from a place of vulnerability. I feel scared and want to hide. Ahhh! Here goes... About 4.5 years ago I started a website called Smile with Love. The intent behind it was to spread happiness to the lonely people in the world. It was inspired by Post Secret, and fueled by my own desire for connection. I wanted to see the smiling faces of my friends, but Facebook provided no such feature. So, I put together a Tumblr blog to do it. I asked people to post pictures of their authentic smiles, to share the experience they were having in that moment to share with the world, in an attempt to spread their happiness to others. It didnt work out the way I had hoped, but it still exists on the Internet, sometimes getting a random submission. I want that to change. Given my experience with this community, I feel inspired to start it back up again. I have some changes in mind; I believe it will work better with the use of sentence stems and a nicer layout. Perhaps the stems will change once a week, once a month? I dont know. What I do know is that I need your love and support if this project has any hopes of succeeding. Maybe its a stupid idea. I feel terrified putting it out there like this, but I want it to succeed. Im imagining a place that is both a source of happiness for people, and a photographic timeline of the AR community (and eventually the world.) A place that has you wondering throughout your days what moments youd love to share with the world and a safe place to put them. What do you think? Im open to all ideas. ~Christian smilewithlove
