Immediately after Megs death last January 13th, I got caught up in the stories of her love for Christ. I was swept away and inspired by her familys faith in God, and how it was lifting them above an unspeakable tragedy. Her passion for running, though, and that of so many of you, well that took a while longer to catch up to me. In fact, until last November 15, when I ran my first half marathon at Richmond, I approached running with a sense of dread. I did it to half-heartedly fit in with all the crazy running people here and beyond. But being in the midst of so many of you that RVA marathon weekend, feeling your passion for running, and being able to make a connection between running and Megs ability to use it to strengthen her Christian outreach - thats when the running bug bit me. And so by some miracle, this first day of 2015 it seems suddenly fitting that Ive added a page to my Life of Gratitude blog titled The Grateful Runner. May He guide you to inspire others half as much as you inspired me in 2014.
