In 4.5 yrs of working for myself i have never had any reason to complain about HMRC . . . That was until today . . I phoned them up to increase my monthly payments as my earnings / tax went up for the year 2013 - 2014 . . . However, despite speaking to the same self-assessment dept just 2.5 months ago (whereby everything was fine) today i was informed that i had an extra £625.00 to find/pay by the 31st January 2014 (ontop of the £952.00 that i knew about) So . . 65 mins on the phone simply resulted in the advice you need to find the additional monies Mr. Bicknell - Great!!!! Therefore , as of 8.00am tomorrow morning, Im sorry to say no more freebies : no more mates rates : no more discounts : all new work will be priced/calculated at the rate of £15.00 per hour plus the cost of any materials . . .
