In Agony, He Prayed More Earnestly A lot of people think that emotionalism in religion is out of place. However, I cannot think of anything in the world that should stimulate our emotions more than God and His supernatural working in our lives. When Jesus faced His greatest hour of trial in Gethsemane, the emotional agony He felt caused Him to pray more earnestly. If you truly depend on God for survival, your prayers may become amazingly intense.
