In Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan lying flat on a hotel bed, down with a cold - TopicsExpress

In Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan lying flat on a hotel bed, down with a cold and some nasty stomach flu, if not food poisoning outright. Mongolias farewell present. However the flight from Ulaan Baatar to Bishkek took me over lands of a rare and unimaginable beauty. We flew over Western Mongolia, the Altai mountain range with peaks above 4000m, then a turn to the south into Chinas Xinjiang Province, the Dzhungarian Basin, Urumqi, the Borohoro range of the Tien Shan with massive glaciers and peaks above 5000m, to conclude with a long final glide above (beloved) Almaty and landing in Bishkek, known in Soviet times as Frunze. Thats where I discovered that I fell sick in my trousers. Below, a few pics in the order that I just mentioned.
