In India tonight .. Taking a slow quiet walk at twilight as the children play in the playground ... between the tall buildings.. and the honking horns .. I see it .. big and round.. the moon The same moon I saw rise up once ever so luminous and red over the vast blue ocean in Baja Mexico .. The same huge round silver moon I saw once while driving cross country through South Dakota at dusk with my son .. to which he said Dad!.. is it real? The same moon I saw once above the still icy January lake in Pennsylvania when the midnight earth was so quiet I could hear my breath .. The same moon I saw while laying deeply peaceful in the grass once in the mountains outside Santa Fe NM .. pondering how many stars there are and where my life was going .. The same moon I saw once in the open, infinite Nevada desert .. without a single human being anywhere around The same moon I saw once on the island of Maui, amidst the shooting stars, while sitting in the deep seclusion and quiet of the pineapple fields .. The same moon I saw once as a young man exuberantly strolling through the streets of London high in the sky... and in Venice Italy reflected in the water... .. Sometimes at night ..
