Meanwhile, at the Newport Folk Festival that month Paul Butterfields band would perform an amplified blues set that would raise the hackles of some folkies and then Bob Dylan, with an ad hoc band including Mike Bloomfield, Al Kooper, Sam Lay and others, would appear on stage with a Stratocaster and all hell would break loose.
