In Paris one of the most influential of the World Organisation for economic cooperation and development (OECD), the Council of Lithuania, I presented the OECDS preparations for membership. Members of this organization can become the only economically developed and stable state. Currently, it belongs to the economically strongest countries 34. This year, the OECD Council of Ministers decided that in 2015 to begin negotiations for membership in the Organization will be invited to, and Lithuania. Our countrys accession to the OECD are very responsible process and now adheres to the basic principles of the OECD. Strengthening of cooperation with the OECD brings new opportunities to promote economic growth and competitiveness, to apply the most effective schemes of management and transparency.
