In September, Nate started fighting what we thought was a sinus infections. It turned out to be much more than that. Nate had surgery last Thursday to remove a tumor in his maxillary sinus. After surgery the doc was almost certain it wasnt cancerous...but after further lab results, they got a call from the doctor who wanted to meet with them ASAP...cancer. We have some hard months ahead, but we are optimistic and determined to beat it! His second surgery is scheduled for next week to remove the rest of the mass as well as some bone, then daily radiation for another six weeks. To show our support, we are holding a race for Nate, Kacee, and Ames on Saturday, November 15th at 10:00am. Itll begin and end on the South side of Lone Peak High School, and go around the ponds to the west. Well have prizes for the winners as well as a raffle following.
