In a rare occasion, may be even unique, more than 30 Union Ministers have launched Minimum Pension of Rs. 1000 today at different locations across India. In a sense,this has also reflected the commitment of the new government regarding labour welfare by ensuring organised social security. I also hope that we move to concept of Social Security floors as mooted by International Labour Organisation.
