In a single given day i can go thru what seems to be an endless roladex of emotions. Involuntary responses to outside and inside stimuli. Knee jerk reactions are inevitable, controlled behavior a practice, the outcome determined by the two. The reactionary measure you select causes the event to take route. All will encounter the effect of your chosen action and will in suit determine their reactionary measure based on their emotional activation and respond accordingly to their will or whim (knee jerk or controlled) This continues, like a line of dominos, each one effecting the outcome of the next in line. This goes on for infinity and sets in motion the energy force of life at this point in time/space. This energy field reverberates and molds and shifts our future energy field. This concept is known as Chaos Theory or better known as The Butterfly Effect. Knee jerk reactions develop from emotions, controlled behavior develops from the mind. Controlled behavior isnt spontaneous, its learned by the individuals desire to manage the duality of our given nature as human beings. If our reactions control the outcome of our future, and it does, as i just explained, then shouldnt we learn how to think before we react? But self control is not enough- we need to base our reactions on compassion. Compassion can only be attained by understanding and empathy for one outside our being. We can learn self control, but can we learn compassion? I was born compassionate, but have discovered that it wasnt given out equally. Some just cannot seem to see outside of themselves and and simply cannot see from anothers vantage point. This is disheartening and i usually find those are the saddest people ive met. They hurt. Inversely, people with compassion have discovered that the act of compassion itself takes away the hurt, takes the hurt away from everyone! We need to practice self control and master compassion...and then we will live happily ever after...
