In honor of Alpha Sigma Alpha Sororitys 112th Birthday, our National President Nora Ten Broeck has challenged us to recognize #myfive, our five founders for our Alpha Sigma Alpha experience so far. The women that I pik below are more than just my sorority sisters, they are the people that have stepped into my lives and touched my heart in ways I could never have imagined. 1. Patricia Lavelle - What can be said about a person who you consider your other half in every which way possible? You are the one person I can always count on to listen to my crazy stories, give good advice that helps me step away from the edge, support me in all my adventures and endeavors, and always say the right thing. You let me lay my head on your shoulder, wipe away my tears, give me the best hugs, and hold my hand as I run down the street into the crazy abyss. You taught me what it means to be a sister with all my heart, a leader to push others to greatness, a contributor to help other achieve their goals and dreams, and a member of something larger than myself. You are the greatest Big one could ever ask for. Uf Gozal forever and ever. 2. Emily Pierce - As my little, I will always hold you dear and near to my heart. You let me feel brave by sheltering you through a storm, you let me feel strong by letting me be your confidant, you let me feel wise when you look to me for advice, and you help me love when I get to just be your Big and be there with you and for you. I am so proud of everything you have accomplished and done and I know that in the years to come you will make me prouder. I am honored to be your Big and know for years to come I will be boasting about you to anyone who will listen. Though we may have been awkward in the start, I cant imagine anyone else being my Little. You are amazing in every which way
