In my area, girls are widely regarded as strong athletically, socially and academically, so doing somelthing like a girl doesnt REALLY mean something derogatory about females. IMO, it may be used as a jokey put-down, but not a real put-down of girls. Nevertheless, I think the point being made is valid. Girls lose a lot of confidence during the puberty years. We need to help build self-esteem and confidence whenever possible. (And btw, tampons are never mentioned once...thats a lame hook to get you to view this worthwhile video.)
