In my observation, there is nothing more dangerous to your soul - TopicsExpress

In my observation, there is nothing more dangerous to your soul than a spirit of rebellion. Every rebellious person I have ever known has paid a really high price for their rebellion, and some have even paid with their lives. Rebellion unlocks the hordes of hell, and even gives demons permission to torment you. Rebellion in its simplest definition is prideful rejection and defiance of God and his truth. At the core of rebellion is the belief that Im smarter than God, and I know better how to run my life than He does. Rebellion is essentially the deliberate choice to disobey rather than obey a clear instruction from the Lord. Please hear me...doing your own thing will never end well and will never satisfy your soul. The only path to true fulfillment in this life is obeying your perfect Heavenly Father. His plans are infinitely better than your own. He created you, and he knows the original design and purpose he made you for. Please dont waste your life living for yourself. You will only end up broken and empty. Satan was the first recorded rebel in history, and for thousands of years he has been luring and deceiving humanity into his own rebellion against God. Satan knows that God loves nothing more than the people He created, so he purposely targets the greatest object of Gods affection...you and me! Dont give him the pleasure of ruining your life. If you want to be a rebel, then rebel against hell! If you have been caught in the trap of rebellion, today is the day to turn back to God and surrender fully to His will for your life. It could even save your life. Do you think the Scriptures have no meaning? They say that God is passionate that the spirit he has placed within us should be faithful to him. And he gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. Let there be tears for what you have done. Let there be sorrow and deep grief. Let there be sadness instead of laughter, and gloom instead of joy. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor. (James 4:5-10 NLT)
