In need of some advice - I am trying to rebuild my BR Racing 14x6 4x100 et38 split rims, thought they were weird two piece versions but now advised they are 3 piece but may have been welded to solve leaks?!! Do people do this?? Has anyone rebuilt these wheels before and do the joins look right? It has also ben suggested that they are missing the outer tyre bead lip?? And if welded can I undo this most unholy act?!! EG destroy the lips to get them apart and get new wide ones to make sweet 14x8s or 9s!! Please see pics as you can see there is some evidence of machining on the barrels but you can see some lines where I presume they do/did split?? any help very much appreciated...
