In order to grow beyond a certain limit and size, the cancerous cells and tumors require a proper mecahnism or system to bring in nutrients and to excrete out waste. The cancerous cells which are going to make up for a tumor state, generally start interacting with the blood supply to grow into tumor masses. The lymph vessels provide nourishment to the growing tumor just like the way to any other normal organ or tissue of the human body.
