In the early 1900s, the great composer Jean Sibelius (Finlandia), penned a wonderful Christian anthem; Be Still, My Soul. During the early to mid 1900s, a great theologian, Francis Shaffer, penned a great book: How Should We Then Live? The Rise and Decline of Western Thought and Culture. These two great compilations were the inspiration behind the great song I have shared. Bill Gaither arranged the score and his wife Gloria penned the words. I love music! But, for a song to be one I will want to listen to time and time again, it has to move me; stir my soul. There is more to a song than words and music!!!!! This is definitely one of those! I feel that a good song must have a heart and a soul. The heart is the score, but the words, that are penned, are the very fiber of the soul. They bring the heart alive and most importantly; together, they move you. Turn up the speakers, sit back and listen to the words. Hopefully, all of us can strive each and everyday to live our lives the best way possible and by dong that, make a difference > I Then Shall LIve. God bless and have a blessed day. :) The words provide a powerful message and challenge, to us, in our daily lives! I then shall live as one whos been forgiven. Ill walk with joy to know my debts are paid. I know my name is clear before my Father; I am His child and I am not afraid. So, greatly pardoned, Ill forgive my brother; The law of love I gladly will obey. I then shall live as one whos learned compassion. Ive been so loved, that Ill risk loving too. I know how fear builds walls instead of bridges; Ill dare to see anothers point of view. And when relationships demand commitment, Then Ill be there to care and follow through. Your Kingdom come around and through and in me; Your power and glory, let them shine through me. Your Hallowed Name, O may I bear with honor, And may Your living Kingdom come in me. The Bread of Life, O may I share with honor, And may You feed a hungry world through me.
