In the early 80s, my husband had a brain tumor & was unable to work. I was unemployed at the time, taking care of him. When he was able to go back to work, my sister insisted that I apply for a job at what was then, University Credit Union. I got the job & worked there for a little over a year, & became friends with Metha Vickers. He became ill with another brain tumor, then another, then the cancer spread over his entire body. After he passed away, and I recovered from surgery, Metha Coleman Vickers called me about a teller position at Alabama Telco Credit Union. I applied, and got the job. I worked there for a 13 1/2 years with a wonderful retirement. All of my career began with my sister insisting that I apply at the credit union, getting the experience necessary, meeting a friend that recommended me for a job at ATCU, and assuring me of wonderful retirement benefits. I can see Gods plan for me years back, even thru adversity.
