Inbox: Hiya can you pp? NBR but need some advice. My partner has a lot of debt from when he was with his ex. She took out all kinds of credit on his name as she couldnt get credit. Anyway its only just starting to affect him now as he cant even get a bank account. We have a young daughter and want to start sorting our finances out. Anyway hes been in touch with her asking her to take the debt back in her name by calling them and confirming its hers etc she said she would but that was nearly a year ago. Hes got back in touch with her again and she keeps fobbing him off saying shell find out what debt there is as there was so much he cant remember. Hes tried to do credit expert/experian and all that but as he hasnt got a bank account he cant even do that. Does anyone know if he can take legal action re the debt in her name? And if theres another way he can get his credit file? I know it would be hard as she could easily deny it but he has fb msgs about it? Were hoping we wont have to go that far as shes not exactly saying she wont sort it we just think because shes happy and moved on shell not want to. Sorry for the long post lol! Tia xxx Charlene x
