Instinctual Eating They are preaching so hard to get us to - TopicsExpress

Instinctual Eating They are preaching so hard to get us to eat that breakfast. For years I have been listening to them against my own innate wisdom. Now I realize why my instincts told me to NOT eat breakfast. BECAUSE IT IS NOT GOOD FOR ME. Eating breakfast interrupts my bodys own natural cycle of telling me when I am hungry. It makes me crave that second meal all too soon and keeps my mind on food way more than necessary. If I dont eat first thing in the morning, I am less hungry, I think about food less, and I consume less in a day. I am starting to wonder what came first, people overeating or the experts pushing breakfast on everyone. I have been researching brown fat vs white fat. Brown fat is what people who eat all they want, and never gain weight have. Brown fat has way more oxygen receptors on it; meaning it burns up energy more quickly. Brown fat EATS white fat. As we get older, our brown fat reserves dwindle. That may be why, as we age, our metabolisms slow down. Brown fat is associated with longevity. The body keeps making brown fat, when there are stints of not eating. To go longer in the day without eating, is more inducive to making brown fat. Eating those micro meals just insures that there will be no brown fat production. The people who live longest are people in countries where food is sometimes scarce and they are forced to fast. That fasting leads to the production of brown fat. In the 70s fasting was popular. Most likely, people figured out that it was healthy. It has always bothered me to eat breakfast. But I listened to the experts on every morning show. It has attributed to much over eating in myself. When I was younger and went without eating, I felt empowered. I am starting to realize that that wasnt just psychological. It was the physical body being validated. There is a strength in listening to the body. It aligns the body with the mind; and even the emotions. Everything is more expressive when it is listened to; including the intuition centers of the body. If we listen to our body about when to eat, maybe we will also listen to it about what to eat. This is what I have experienced. Maybe it is not as much about dieting, but having the body have a voice on what it wants. Maybe then, the mind and emotions will loosen their grip on the body. Maybe then the body, mind emotions will all align and good health and fitness will reign. We have all been warned about emotional eating. But mental eating is not the answer. Instinctual eating is the key. It is the only one that validates the body. Eating when the body tells us it is time, is the only system that supports the validity of the bodys importance. By validating the innate wisdom of the physical body, it no longer has to act out by creating dis-ease. It also negates the need for it to make itself bigger to validate itself. If no amount of dieting has worked for you, and you are not under doctors orders, you may want to try instinctual eating for a change.Maybe it will be surprisingly easy to regulate the bodys intake once you let it decide when to eat.
