Interesting talk this Wednesday, July 16th at 7 p.m. at the Schoodic Institute (SERC), “Sea-Level Rise and its Past Impacts on Frenchman Bay” is the subject of a public presentation hosted by the Frenchman Bay Conservancy. Sea levels have risen and fallen hundreds of feet over time, which explains why you can find marine fossils up on the mountains of Acadia and many miles inland. The story of Maine—and of Earth—is one of constant, in some cases mind-boggling, change. Featured speaker will be Dr. Joseph T. Kelley, Professor of Marine Geology at the University of Maine. sercinstitute.org/frenchman-bay-conservancy-hosts-public-presentation-sea-level-changes
