Is Obamacare a health care program or a cash cow for progressive causes? I’m starting to wonder, after news broke this week that the DC Health Benefit Exchange Authority Executive Board – one of those countless, interchangeably-named bureaus created by the Obamacare law – voted to give $375,000 to a local branch of Planned Parenthood. Not to provide health services. They’re supposed to use the money to help sign people up for the insurance exchanges. Meanwhile, with Congress refusing to fund Obama’s universal preschool proposal with new taxes, he and his Education Secretary are reportedly planning to funnel money to it from discretionary funds in other programs, including Obamacare. You might wonder why we’re spending millions of dollars from the new health care program on a Planned Parenthood PR campaign and universal preschool. Isn’t the Obamacare budget limited? Well, from all indications so far…No, not at all.
