Is the iPad in a death spiral that will eventually see it slowly - TopicsExpress

Is the iPad in a death spiral that will eventually see it slowly die like the iPod before it? It wasnt long ago that many pundits were announcing the death of the desktop/laptop. I always found that comical because I could not imagine trying to work on a tablet when I need to be as productive as possible and get work done. The cool factor of a new form factor in the tablet, the Apple brand and many other contributing factors led to iPads explosive growth over the last few years. I admit that I too was intrigued and bought an iPad and an Android tablet and I have tried many times to work them into my life to no avail. I just find that when I want to get information quickly I grab my phone which is normally on my person. When I want to research or work I grab my laptop. About the only thing that I find useful on my tablet is watching a movie while traveling because it had much better battery life but with my iPhone 6s greatly improved battery life even this is now questionable. Otherwise I much prefer my phone, especially with the larger screen of the iPhone 6 or to use my laptop. With the launch of the iPhone Plus even the staunchest iPad supporters now have to evaluate whether having a phablet would replace their need for a tablet. What about you, do you use your tablet or has it been largely relegated to sitting in your bag or on your counter or nightstand?
