Is there any medical or scientific proof that a human body contains a soul? I had read this before and it took a while to dig up the source. It turns out Dr. Ducan Macdougall in 1901 set up very sensitive scales to check for any weight loss at the time of death of terminally ill patients. At the moment of death 4 of the 6 patients lost on average 21 grams or about 3/4 of an ounce. He had to dismiss the results on two patients due to errors during the set up of equipment. He repeated the test using dogs and none of the dogs lost any weight. Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
