Isaiah 53:3 “He is despised and rejected by men A man of sorrows - TopicsExpress

Isaiah 53:3 “He is despised and rejected by men A man of sorrows acquainted with grief. And we hid our’ as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised and we did not esteem Him.” The Man of Sorrows is a friend of sinners and believers alike. There are friends who pretend to be friends but the Man of Sorrow is a friend that sticks closer than a brother. We find that the Man of Sorrow dedicated His life and death to the glory of God and for the good of all mankind. Acts 10:38 tells us, “You no doubt know that Jesus of Nazareth was anointed by God with the Holy Spirit and with power, and He went around doing good and healing all who were possessed by demons, for God was with Him.” The Man of Sorrow has touched the lives of millions, changing characters, changing outlook of lives, changing ones attitudes, changing ones actions, changing ones life styles, and the most important thing changing ones eternal destiny. The Man of Sorrow has or will cross your path of life, somewhere, sometime, or somehow. As a matter of fact if you are reading this message He is touching your life right now. Jesus Christ was truly a Man of Sorrow. It has been written that He had no grief for His own sins because He had no sin but sweat great drops of blood for mine and yours. Jesus cried out to mankind from the deep sorrow of His soul for sinners. Jesus upon His way to the cross, looked over the city of Jerusalem and began to wept as He cried out. “Eternal peace was within your reach and you turned it down. It is now too late.” The Man of Sorrow wept because of their condition being blindfolded by the devil. 2 Corinthians 4: 3-4 says that, “If the Good News that is preached is hidden from anyone, it is hidden from you, the one who is on the road to eternal death. Satan who is the god of this evil world, has made sinners blind, unable to see the glorious light of the Gospel that is shining upon him, or to understand the amazing message that is preached about the glory of Christ, who is God.” The man of sorrow wept and grieved because of their choices they made. The man of sorrow wept and grieved because of their spiritual future. My friends, listen to Christ pray for the sinful from the cross. “Father forgive these people for they do not know what they are doing.” The man of sorrow implants this same sorrowful spirit in the hearts of those who are saved. For we are happy that Christ forgives our sins so that we can have eternal life. We are happy that we can share with you the gospel of how Jesus Christ lived and died for your sins as He paid the sin debt once and for all who believe. We are happy and rejoice to echo the Scriptures, “Believe on the Lord Jesus and you will be saved and your entire household.” Yet as believers are hearts have concern for your soul and will continue in sorrow when you reject Jesus Christ. How I long for you to come to Christ as my heart is heavy and grieves for the lost sinners. I do not want to see you go to hell. I love and care for each and everyone of you. God is good
