On PCOS Machines: Our advocacy assumes greater relevance in the face of the Comelec’s plans to spend another 16.9 billion pesos of our hard-earned money to buy more of these vulnerable, unreliable, wrongly-counting but glamorized and possibly overpriced calculators called PCOS. We can only do so much to inform the public about this grave problem in our election system and can only hope that the people will act accordingly to prevent this from continuing. If the public does not listen, at some point, we will have to let this problem take its due course and its exacting toll on the people. By then, it might be too late!
