~Isn’t it Funny~ Isn’t it funny that who we show on the outside Shrouds a person inside it seems we try to hide There are times that we may want to let them out But they’re trapped by all of their fears and doubt We face situations meant to help us shape This person who’s patiently waiting to escape But sometimes the strength we have been granted Never gets a fighting chance to ever be planted I’ve known some who didn’t appear to be strong Shine whenever things started going wrong Taking the helm quickly to steer the ship clear Never thinking twice at all of their own fear So remember that we all have the same powers To get us through and past our darkest hours All you need is the faith to believe that you can Surpass anything your destiny may have planned ~The Journey Poetry Series by James Lagoski~ From the book, "Illustrations of the 7th Sign"
