It is no secret that once in awhile, I wake up craving Mexican food. Or more specifically, Tex-Mex. When that happens, only one place comes to my hunger starved brain: Ojedas on Hampton Road in Desoto, Texas. Hands down, they are the undisputed master of Tex Mex. As soon as you walk in, you are inundated with the scents of enchiladas and steaming beef fajitas. Once you are seated, your server brings you chips and hot sauce. And fair warning, their hot sauce is not for the timid. And if you are timid, they do have a mild hot sauce you can request. Once you place your order from their very reasonably priced menu, they bring the food out fairly quickly and it is always fresh, melt in your mouth goodness. I would also recommend for you to order a few extras. Their corn tortillas, queso and guacamole are to die for. They also have a full line of desserts but Ive never been able to make it that far. Add to that a full service bar and tasty margaritas and you have a recipe for success that will appeal to anyone from a casual loner grabbing a quick lunch to a large after-work social outing. I have never been disappointed with the food or the service at Ojedas and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Viva Tex Mex!!
