It is with great sadness to hear of the death of Mick Farrell - TopicsExpress

It is with great sadness to hear of the death of Mick Farrell today. We would like to take this opportunity to pass on our heartfelt condolences to his family. Mick did a lot of good work and campaigning to save and restore the MV Naomh Eanna, including along with his fellow IWAI Dublin Branch members a very generous donation of €500. There was never one post which was left unliked by him and any problem which arose he was always willing to give a helpful opinion or suggestion. Captain Steve fondly remembers in the early days of the campaign, back in February that Mick stayed with him a lot, in the days which he spent on board the ship in Dublin on his own, bringing him paint brushes, cups of tea, sandwiches and in that time he would never take a penny. As Mick put it its a deposit on my ticket to Galway on her. Mick, thank you for all that you have done. You will be sadly missed by us all. We hope that one day the MV Naomh Eanna will make that journey back home to Galway under her own steam and if she does, we are sure you will be with us in spirit and we will be sure to have the Dublin colours proudly flying from her in your memory. From us all at the Naomh Eanna.
