It is with sadness that I report on the passing of Jerry Nichols this past Tuesday morning. Jerry Nichols was the largest games operator at the Texas Renaissance Festival for many years before retirement in 2012. He leaves a legacy of great ambition and success here and will be missed. The Texas Renaissance Festival expresses its deepest sympathies and condolences to his wife Kathy Nichols and her family. Jerry took on the great challenge to create Renaissance styled games that could capture the attention of all ages, even with our attention spans shrinking throughout the years. Throughout his life, he was a determined leader that brought many games here which are now the model of Renaissance Faires around the country. Jerry, Thank you for helping make the Texas Renaissance Festival the best of our kind. ♦The King♦
