It was an interesting weekend on the pitch this Sunday with Limuru united holding us to a 1-1 draw at Manguo primary school on Saturday. Our keeper was at fault when he failed to organize the wall as we defended a freekick outside the box, he misjudged the deflected shot and while trying to clear it (instead of diving)and it deflected off his boot to the roof of the net. That was the only meaningfull attempt they made in the first half but despite our pressure we couldn’t score in the first half and frank had his poorly taken penalty saved towards the end of the first half. A tactical change at the interval substituting peter njoroge and bring on Solo proofed effective as we created chance after chance only to be let down by poor finishing.Manu eventualy found the net after a comical mistake by the host keeper who fluffed a harmless shot and manu was at hand to stab it home.It was a game we should have won 4 nil but shared the spoils.- Same old story. Jana was a big day for us as the church had it’s sports day at Alliance boys and we climaxed the occasion by facing igegania from Gatundu south. The game saw our coach crack the whip by fielding only those who had practiced and that meant some of the best players warmed the bench. It was a tale of missed chances but we eventually won 1- 0. We have lost our rhythm and we hope the technical bench will give the fans what they are yearning for – Beautiful football and loads of goals.Kikuyu has been known to play tiki taka football and we want a mixture of chapa twende and tiki taka.
