It was special weekend in Palmerston North for Manawatu Hapkido. On Saturday night, Master Callum Forbes came up from Wellington to be inducted into the New Zealand Martial Arts Hall of Fame. Then on Sunday morning Master Forbes, Shihan Mike OHara, and Sabumnim Malcolm Wright held a 3 hour seminar on the Pyramid of Destruction. This was attended by students from Manawatu Hapkido, Upper Hutt Hapkido, and Wellington City Hapkido. Finally, we hosted a social event celebrating 21 years of operation for Manawatu Hapkido. There have been many dan gradings from the club since 1992, including one 3rd Dan, two 2nd Dan, and more than half a dozen 1st Dan. Many thanks to all our friends who came up from Wellington to celebrate the 21st anniversary with us. Ki Hap !
