It wasnt til phone-booths became extinct and pay-phones (without the booth) were an endangered species, that I finally ~ GRUDGINGLY ~ surrendered my pager and joined in the modern convenience of a cellphone for my increasing need of telephonic communication. Now, years later and after slyly espying (and getting an eye-ache from staring to the side without turning my head) the added CONVENIENCE, & FLEXIBILITY afforded by Smart-Phones, Ive once again had to admit to the limited capabilities & antiquity of my communications device, my Dumb ol flip phone. The consensus of the experts with whom I consulted (expert = someone less ignorant of the subject than I) led me to invest my trust in something called a DROID! I was a bit put off at first. The spooky mental image of a DROID that my mind dredged up was that of a semi-human member of the WALKING DEAD! I wasnt even sure I wanted to learn more about it from VERIZON. But I did..... Two weeks ago. Since I dont own a BMW, I didnt even consider an iPhone. My DUMMIES book came last Friday. I missed my first few calls while I was setting-up the telephone part with the instructions I Googled on my desk-top. Ive got the phone part down pat now and Im embarking on the adventure promised in the pages of my NEW AND ADVANCED subject TEXTBOOK! Just think! Im going to learn how to SWIPE! AND, not get in trouble for it! ~GROAN~
