It wasnt too long ago that ABC News launched its own channel on Apple TV, but already the network is reporting some impressive numbers. Most notably, users watch 50 percent more coverage from ABC News live on Apple TV than they do on desktop and mobile apps combined. The accompanying infographic (partially seen below) reveals other data as well, such as the fact that Apple TV users spend 65 percent more time watching news than they do on their desktops. Prime time for the device is reportedly 9 p.m. EDT, and breaking news coverage represents the most-watched content. Partially in response to the numbers, the network today added new local channels for Albuquerque, Boston, and Honolulu.
