Its all about VALUE! On November 10, 2014 a sinkhole opened up in a Florida mobile home park. Immediately adjacent to a house the sinkhole swallowed a Hyundai. The next day a second sinkhole collapsed in the back yard and swallowed the owners boat and back porch. Geologists say a third sinkhole is opening up in the neighborhood. The owners property had a lot of value before this...and now it is WORTHLESS. Similar sinkhole collapses have happened in the Ozarks like the one in Nixa or at the Dean Davis Wildlife Refuge or the West Plains Sewage lagoon. The Coastal energy Tanks Farm with 2.8 million gallons of poisonous liquids sits in a field of sinkholes and surrounded by at least 10 major sinkholes. This accident waiting to happen pits the fortunes of one man against the very future of tourism, agriculture and residing in the south-central Missouri Ozarks. A sinkhole collapse at the Coastal Energy facility would send diesel flavored or asphalt flavored water into our karst water supply and instantly turn our area into a a zone of devastation that render all our property and lives here worthless. Tell this to Governor Nixon and the Missouri Attorney General. Demand they protect our rivers, springs and wells...and future. Tell them to move the tanks and our future is NOT negotiable!
