Its been a harrowing and challenging experience for me in the Samoa courts this week. Yesterday, Justice Malosi discharged my two clients without conviction after they were both convicted with theft of two cows. The facts are, the two cows went into my clients paddock uninvited and they were there for 3-4 weeks. One of the two clients went to look for the owner and finally found him. The owner arranged that he will pick up his two cows, but he never turned up to pick them up, he never honoured his so called agreement. My clients then kill the cows cos the cows were causing heywire to their own cows. The owners found out and complained to the police. My clients gave him two cows to replace his cows. Owner agreed that he contiributed to the demise of his cows..Justice Malosi found special circumstances and Discharged my two clients without conviction yesterday...I love Samoa!!
