Its interesting how the Nomad kickstarter has changed some peoples perception of me overnight. Its definitely given me more legitimacy in some peoples eyes...as if money is the key indicator of the quality of a persons principles or thought process. My accountant for example who is actually a pretty cool guy, told me he was worried Id spent too much time on developing it and let my client income slide and was genuinely flabbergasted at how much funding was raised. He told me that in 30 years as an accountant, he could count the number of ventures that had raised funds to that level without traditional investors on one hand. Statistically the chances of success in his experience had been super slim at best and if I had asked his opinion, would have counseled against proceeding. A pretty good indication that sometimes you gotta ignore some professional advice and push ahead with something you believe in if youve done the research. I think before KS he kinda thought of me as some crazy kid with nappies and now Ive graduated to big boy pants...if I liked pants. Walk to the beat of your own drum.
