Its rare to have the ability to listen to Orca somewhere in the distant fog,witness the thrashing sounds of thousands of Salmon waiting to make their way into the River and have us Humans somewhat engage ,at times almost at will with these migrating fish. This is Johnson Straight between Vancouver Island and Mainland British Columbia. Currently there are many millions of Sockeye migrating thru this body of water about mid way across, although these are not typically fly caught....so I guess you can say there is a bit of chaos going on..and we are privy to be part of this wonder. Kellen is fishing the Beulah Opal 5/6 Surf rod, for the first time, loaded with a 400 grain Snowbee Switch Line and Poly leader sporting one of his great ties..likely a Purple Shrimp pattern
