Its sad that people have to work on Thanksgiving, I am glad the Apple is stepping up and saying NO! Apple initially planned to have many of its stores open on Thanksgiving Day to cash in on over-eager holiday shoppers, but CEO Tim Cook has reportedly nixed those plans and now sources say only three Apple stores will be open on turkey day: New York/Fifth Avenue (which is open 24 hours); Las Vegas and Honolulu. Apple’s corporate employees have Thanksgiving week off, a company tradition. ifoAppleStore, which generally has the scoop on what’s happening at Apple’s retail stores, said Cook last week told the retail team that it’s important for employees to be with their families on Thanksgiving.
