Its that day again Dad, the day which has been the hardest, most - TopicsExpress

Its that day again Dad, the day which has been the hardest, most heart-wrenching, the saddest, most emotional day for us as a family. That day we had to let you go. Two long years have flown by, and yet dragged by also. Surreal. Empty. Drained. Thats how we felt 2 years ago. Ripped off, not given enough time to even let your diagnosis/prognosis really sink in. They said we had 4 to 6 mths with you, and 5 days later you slipped into heaven. Never one to muck around. Always wanting to get on with it. This side of 2 years, we can see how your passing then, so quickly was probably more of a blessing, than lingering, waiting, watching you wither away, at the time though, it was just the biggest rip off ever............ Today we will remember you. Your Love, unconditional, unwavering, 100% genuine, the kind of Daddy love that kids want. Your support of us, made us confident that if anyone, or the world turned on us, you had us (Mum too), and we knew that if we had you (and Mum), then nothing else mattered! Your selflessness, and how you always gave to everyone and anyone. Your cheek and wit.......... didnt really appreciate it to the full back then, but so do now, and miss it funnily enough
