It’s not easy to watch your own brother by blood fighting a losing battle against cancer - the formidable opponent and hanging by a thread for dear life. Folks flocked around his fading bed. He is in short of breath. I see old death - the grim reaper - careening around the corner, ready to run him down. It makes me realize how frail and fragile human life is. He is not guaranteed a tomorrow; and neither are we. It has made me wonder about mortality and how long youve got somebody in the world. Im more fearful than I used to be. Little wonder it’s written in the good book that we are “fearfully and wonderfully made.” (Psalm 139:14)
