Ive always been a lonely person - the sort of person that will feel alone even in a room full of close friends and would still feel lonely even if I had the love of everyone in the world. Ive felt that every single day of my life. But I dont feel that lonely feeling anymore. I dont feel any sense of companionship or fulfillment either, and I currently have far fewer friends and a much smaller social circle than Ive ever had before. Yet, I dont feel lonely anymore. In fact, I feel little to no interest in making new friends, spending time with others, or socializing with others. I feel completely indifferent and detached. I feel as though I might have given up on people, on the idea of love and friendship and companionship, on humanity altogether. That might be the reason I do not feel lonely anymore and why I feel so indifferent towards people now. Or perhaps Ive given up on myself. Who knows.
