Ive been following Kelsey for a year, and also started following you guys - first congrats it really seems that you are pulling together and changes are coming. I do want to throw a suggestion out there - maybe someone could run with it. I was talking about the great things that are happening and someone told me a horrific story about the shelter. This family adopted a pup and brought him home. Within two days the puppy became ill, along with the families two existing dogs. Long story short, Parvo, and they lost both of the older dogs. They of course were heartbroken and made appt with the shelter personnel to talk about things. When they got there the feeling was that shelter was in defense mode. All they simply wanted was to suggest a way of avoiding this heartache that wouldnt cost FBAC any money. She said all I wanted them to do in the future is make sure any adopter is told to isolate the adopted dog from family pets until their health check up at a vets office, or simply a few days quarantine in the household to make certain all is ok before exposing other animals. It seemed a reasonable suggestion.
